AN ACT to provide an appropriation for defraying the expenses of the commission on legal counsel for indigents; to create and enact a new subsection to section 54-44.3-20 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to categories of positions in the state service; and to provide for a legislative management study.

Increased total appropriation from $26,343,882 to $27,153,882, with base level funding for the commission increasing from $25,789,125 to $26,599,125.

Adjusted the enhancement amounts for the commission from $2,766,753 to $3,576,753 and for the new and vacant FTE pool from $554,757 to $554,757 (unchanged in this line but total enhancements increased).

Added a requirement for legislative management to study the potential impacts of establishing a North Dakota public defenders office as an administrative agency during the 2025-26 interim.
