Additionally, the legislation requires local social services districts to help applicants secure necessary documentation, conduct home visits for interviews, and provide referrals to medical and employment resources. The act also adjusts state reimbursement rules to allow districts with smaller populations to fully fund these specific HIV-related housing and support costs.
