Authorizes the city of Yonkers to alienate and discontinue the use of certain parklands

S 8271 authorizes the city of Yonkers to sell 0.24 acres of Samuel Untermyer Park & Gardens (described in Section 3) to St. John's Riverside Hospital for restoring the Color Gardens on the Untermyer estate. The city must dedicate 0.46 acres of replacement parkland (described in Section 4) nearby to maintain equivalent parkland value. If the replacement land’s fair market value is lower, Yonkers must provide additional parkland or facility improvements. This bill ensures no net loss of parkland for residents while enabling the hospital’s restoration project.
