S 3167 New York Senate · 2025 Regular Session

Requires all agencies of the city of New York which issue summons to document violations with photographic evidence when feasible

This bill requires all New York City agencies that issue summonses (like for traffic or code violations) to document violations with photos when possible. Agencies must create lists of violations that can be proven via photos, take photos at the time of issuing a summons, and explain in the summons if photos can't be taken. The photos must be included in online filings so respondents can view them. The law applies immediately to all relevant city agencies.
