Commemorating the 195th Anniversary of the Town of West Turin, New York

This Senate Resolution (J 66) formally commemorates the 195th anniversary of the Town of West Turin, New York, which was formed in 1830. It recognizes the town's history, including its early settlement, role as a trade center in the 1880s, and landmarks like Constable Hall (inspiring "Twas the Night Before Christmas"). The resolution directs the legislature to pause its deliberations to honor West Turin and authorizes sending a copy of the resolution to the town. As a ceremonial measure, it has no policy impact or direct effect on residents or legislation.
