Congratulating George Becker upon the occasion of celebrating his 100th Birthday on February 22, 2025

Senate Resolution 357 formally congratulates George Becker on his 100th birthday, recognizing his World War II Navy service (including duty on the USS Emery and USS Admiral W.S. Sims), his 41-year career at Rochester Gas & Electric, and his decades of community leadership in Riga, New York. The resolution, adopted by the Senate on February 25, 2025, does not create new laws or policies but serves as a symbolic tribute to his life and contributions. It highlights his military honors, family legacy, and ongoing community involvement, with a copy to be sent to Becker. This is a standard commemorative resolution for a centenarian, not a substantive legislative measure.
