Honoring Sophia Li upon the occasion of being named a 2026 Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar

This is a ceremonial Senate resolution honoring Sophia Li, a Great Neck High School senior, for being named a 2026 Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar. The resolution recognizes her award-winning research on environmental equity in redlined communities and her selection among 300 national scholars from nearly 2,600 applicants. It does not create new policy or funding; instead, it formally commends her achievement and directs that a copy of the resolution be sent to her. The resolution serves solely as a symbolic gesture of recognition from the legislature.
