Relates to authorizing public school buildings to reject a designation as a polling place

This bill allows public school boards to reject being designated as polling places or early voting locations. If a school building is chosen for this purpose, the school board can file a certified resolution rejecting the designation after a public hearing, within 45 days of notice. The policy applies to both regular polling places and early voting sites. This change gives school districts greater control over their facilities during election periods.
