MINOR
This bill changes who is responsible for sending written summaries of felony case outcomes to victims. Instead of the court clerk, the district attorney or their designee will now handle this notification. This shift moves the responsibility from a neutral court administrator to the prosecutor's office.
Scope change
The bill's scope remains focused on felony case dispositions, but the entity responsible for victim notification changed from the court clerk to the district attorney.
REQUIREMENT
Changed the responsible party for mailing disposition summaries from the court clerk to the district attorney or their designee.
