Directs a feasibility study on installing solar panels on all public buildings

Bill A 2080 directs the Office of General Services (OGS), in consultation with the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), to conduct a feasibility study. This study will assess the cost and viability of installing solar panels on all public buildings under OGS's jurisdiction. It will also identify historic buildings or those without adequate sunlight that may not be suitable for solar panel installation. OGS is required to report its findings to the governor and the legislature within one year of the bill's effective date.
