Relates to permitting the Westchester Muslim Center Inc. to file an application for a real property tax exemption

This bill allows the Westchester Muslim Center in Mount Vernon to submit an application for a real property tax exemption for its building at 22 Brookfield Road. It authorizes the city assessor to review the application as if it were filed on time and permits the city council to grant the exemption if the center would have qualified but for a clerical error. If the exemption is approved, the bill requires the city to refund any taxes already paid and cancel any remaining unpaid taxes.
