Authorizes the city of Buffalo to offer an optional twenty year retirement plan to firefighters Rhiannon Maguire and Jeffrey Brett

This bill allows the city of Buffalo to let two specific firefighters, Rhiannon Maguire and Jeffrey Brett, join an optional twenty-year retirement plan they previously missed. It applies only to these individuals who failed to sign up on time for reasons other than their own negligence. To make this change, the city must file a resolution with the state comptroller within nine months and confirm the firefighters did not bar themselves from participation due to carelessness. The firefighters then have one year to formally request coverage, after which they will receive the full benefits of the plan. The city of Buffalo will pay all associated costs and can spread these expenses over ten years.
