To comply, schools must keep these devices in working order, report their locations to regional health councils, and post clear signs at entrances indicating where the devices are stored. By formally designating schools as providers, the legislation ensures that these life-saving tools are available to the public in case of a severe allergic reaction. The changes become effective ninety days after the law is signed.
