Prohibits reckless driving in parking lots

This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to explicitly prohibit reckless driving in parking lots. It defines a parking lot as private property used for parking four or more vehicles, such as driveways near public roads, while excluding areas belonging to one- or two-family residences. The law states that driving in a manner that unreasonably endangers people or interferes with the use of these lots is a misdemeanor. This change applies to all motor vehicles and takes effect thirty days after the bill is signed into law.
