Relates to the use of taxes collected by the Exempt Firefighters' Benevolent Association of Hastings-on-Hudson, Inc.

This bill authorizes the Exempt Firefighters' Benevolent Association of Hastings-on-Hudson, Inc. to collect and use taxes levied on fire insurance premiums. The funds collected will support volunteer firefighters by maintaining a headquarters, providing relief for those who are indigent, disabled, or injured, and funding social and recreational activities to boost morale. The association must also remit a portion of these taxes to the state Firefighters Association as required by law. These changes apply to taxes on premiums received on or after January 1, 2025.
