A 9454 New York Assembly · 2023 Regular Session

Directs revenue from certain mobile casino gaming activities to be used for school safety and security purposes

This bill directs that at least $10 million or one percent of revenue from new interactive mobile casino games, whichever is higher, must be used for school safety and security expenses. The funds would be collected from computer or mobile-based gaming activities approved by the state gaming commission and managed by the commissioner of education. The legislation applies specifically to future interactive gaming revenues and does not affect existing lottery funds or other current educational aid programs.
