Requires certain companies and corporations to report certain data regarding the gender, race and ethnicity of their employees
This bill requires certain corporations and limited liability companies in New York to submit copies of their existing diversity reports to the state secretary. Specifically, businesses that already file EEO-1 reports with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission must also send these documents to the secretary of state. In return, the secretary of state will publish the employee data regarding gender, race, and ethnicity on the official state website within ninety days of receiving the reports. The law applies to these entities biennially and will not take effect until two years after it is officially passed.
