The law also clarifies that individuals found guilty of abuse cannot remove these records, while neglect findings are automatically sealed eight years after the report is made. Additionally, the bill allows employers and child care agencies to access unsealed reports when screening applicants who will have regular contact with children or when evaluating foster and adoptive parent candidates.
