This bill makes it illegal for unlicensed individuals to engage in door-to-door or digital solicitation for buying or selling real estate. It specifically prohibits "canvassing" (distributing materials or advertising services) and "solicitation" (attempting to sell/buy property) unless the person is a licensed real estate broker, salesperson, or referral agent in New Jersey. Only licensed professionals may conduct these activities under the Consumer Fraud Act, with violations subject to fines up to $20,000. Local governments retain authority to impose stricter local restrictions on such activities.
