"Garden State Manufacturing Jobs Act."

This bill creates a new "Garden State Corporation" status for manufacturing companies operating primarily in New Jersey. It requires these corporations to have half their board members elected by employees working at NJ facilities, with equal voting rights for all eligible employees. The bill also provides significant tax credits - up to 60% in the first five years - against certain corporate taxes for qualifying companies, with reduced rates over nine years. These incentives apply whether the corporation is also certified as a benefit corporation. The bill is currently pending in the Senate Labor Committee.
