Allows certification of orthopedic assistants.

This bill establishes a certification process for orthopedic assistants in New Jersey. To become certified, individuals must meet National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Physician Assistants (NBCOPA) requirements, pass an exam, and apply through the state's Physician Assistant Advisory Committee. Certified orthopedic assistants must work under the supervision of an orthopedic physician, perform only services they were trained for, and maintain certification through biennial renewals demonstrating ongoing NBCOPA compliance. The bill prohibits practicing without certification or using the title "orthopedic assistant" without valid certification.
