What changed between versions
The bill now also amends P.L.2019, c.153 (Cannabis Regulatory Commission membership) and P.L.1981, c.142 (post-employment restrictions on State employees), in addition to the original P.L.2009, c.307 amendment regarding satellite dispensaries.
The satellite dispensary authorization was broadened from specifically 'an alternative treatment center that was issued a permit prior to the effective date of P.L.2019, c.153 or after based on a pre-effective-date application' to any 'alternative treatment center which has been issued a permit to dispense medical cannabis from a medical cannabis dispensary,' removing the time-based limitation.
The specific provisions limiting satellite dispensary approvals to those submitted within 18 months after the effective date of P.L.2019, c.153, and the separate provision for three alternative treatment centers limited to one satellite location, were bracketed out (deleted) by the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee amendment.
