Requires video camera on certain school buses with crossing control arms.

This bill requires all new or used school buses purchased after a 37-month period following enactment to have video cameras installed near their stop sign arms (crossing control arms). It applies to school buses transporting students, specifically those equipped with stop arms under existing law. The cameras, approved by the Motor Vehicle Commission, are meant to help enforce the law prohibiting vehicles from passing school buses when children are boarding or exiting. Within 37 months of enactment, school districts and bus contractors must report which buses have these cameras to the Commissioner of Education.
