Requires DOLWD to provide assistance and education to small businesses in special improvement districts; establishes outreach campaign.
This bill requires New Jersey's Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD) to identify small businesses in special improvement districts (municipally designated areas with special property assessments) and notify them about available benefits. DOLWD must also create an outreach program, in partnership with other state agencies, to educate these businesses on small business grants/loans, state wage/benefit/tax laws, and climate resiliency. The program will distribute written materials and conduct regular outreach to help businesses understand these key issues. It applies specifically to small businesses (under 50 full-time equivalent employees) located within designated special improvement districts across New Jersey.
