Increases maximum number of respite care service hours funded through DCF for certain families.

This bill increases the maximum respite care service hours funded by New Jersey's Department of Children and Families (DCF) for families caring for children with functional impairments. It allows eligible families to receive up to 90 hours of respite care - provided by either an agency-hired worker (employed by a DCF-contracted agency) or a self-hired worker (paid directly by the family) - within any 90-day period. Respite care is defined as temporary, short-term relief for caregivers, covering emergencies or routine stress. The change applies specifically to families already eligible for DCF-funded respite services under existing programs.
