Provides for drug testing of adult recipients of Work First New Jersey program benefits.

This bill requires random drug testing for adults receiving benefits under New Jersey's Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) program, which assists low-income individuals in finding employment. The WFNJ program would cover all testing costs, and a positive test result would not automatically end benefits. Instead, the state may require recipients who test positive to complete an approved drug treatment program to continue receiving benefits. The bill also mandates the Human Services Commissioner to seek necessary federal waivers for implementation and takes effect seven months after enactment, with waiver provisions taking effect immediately.
