What changed between versions
Administrative authority shifted from the Legislative Commission and Legislative Counsel Bureau to the Director of the Office of Federal Assistance within the Governor's office.
Funding source changed from the Legislative Fund to the State General Fund, and unspent funds at year-end no longer revert to the Legislative Fund but remain in the Account.
Eligible recipients changed from 'private nonprofit organizations' to 'nonprofit corporations' with specific criteria: annual revenue not exceeding $1,000,000 OR in existence for less than 5 years after tax-exempt recognition.
Application submission requirement changed from being submitted by a Legislator to being submitted directly by the nonprofit corporation.
Reporting schedule changed from even-numbered years to odd-numbered years for submitting reports to the Legislature.
Bill title and summary were updated to reflect the new focus on grants rather than the Legislature, and the bill number format was updated to indicate the first reprint version.
