Revises provisions relating to the Nevada National Guard. (BDR 36-834)

AB 157 gives Nevada National Guard service members the right to demand a trial by court-martial instead of accepting nonjudicial punishment for minor offenses. The bill requires the Office of the Military to implement training about this right and annually report to the legislature on how often it’s used, including case outcomes. Commanding officers must also report final dispositions of court-martial trials where service members exercised this right.
