Interim study to examine how the existing learning community as defined in section 79-2101 interacts with and impacts the city of the metropolitan class in which it exists

This legislative resolution directs the Urban Affairs Committee to conduct an interim study on how learning communities in Nebraska interact with and impact their host metropolitan cities. The study will examine the current legal framework, funding mechanisms, and student outcomes within the existing learning community while gathering input from educators, officials, and community stakeholders. Findings and recommendations from the study will be reported to the Legislative Council to inform potential future legislation on learning communities and their role in Nebraska cities.
