Revise campaign finance laws to prohibit contributions from public entities

This bill prohibits public entities, such as municipalities, school districts, and nonprofits receiving state or federal funding, from making campaign contributions or expenditures to candidates. It also bars candidates from soliciting or accepting money from these public entities, whether directly or through intermediaries. The law does not apply to individual public employees, and violations are subject to civil penalties under existing Montana election law.
