Revise laws related to property rights

This bill, titled the "Squatter Reform Act," allows property owners or their authorized agents to request immediate sheriff assistance to remove unauthorized occupants (trespassers) from residential or commercial property under specific conditions. To trigger this, the owner must submit a verified statement (affidavit) confirming the occupant is not a tenant, family member, or party to ongoing legal disputes, and that the property was not publicly accessible when entry occurred. The sheriff can then remove the trespasser, arrest them for legal cause, and charge the owner a fee for service or a reasonable hourly rate for standing by during removal. The bill also prohibits unlawful occupation, listing property for sale/rent under certain circumstances, and protects both owners and sheriffs from liability for property damage unless caused by wrongful removal.
