Modifies the appointment of teacher representatives to the State Board of Education

SB 737 modifies how Missouri appoints a nonvoting teacher representative to the State Board of Education. It requires the governor to appoint an active Missouri classroom teacher with at least five years of experience, certification, and local school board support. The representative attends all meetings and participates in discussions but cannot vote or count toward quorum, with appointments rotating annually by congressional district over four-year terms. The position expires on August 28, 2031, and no more than one nonvoting teacher representative may serve at any time.
