Establishes a special license plate for veterans of military operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq
This bill creates two new special license plate options for U.S. veterans who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. To qualify, applicants must provide proof of service and show they received the Afghanistan Campaign medal and the Iraq Campaign medal. Each plate costs an additional $15 fee on top of regular registration costs and will display the veteran's name or numbers with the words "AFGHANISTAN & IRAQ VETERAN" or "AFGHANISTAN VETERAN" along with the appropriate campaign medals. The plates are available for personal vehicles owned by eligible individuals and cannot be transferred to other people except in cases of death where a co-owner may continue using the vehicle.
