HB 1848 provides $3.345 million in state funding to the Delta Health System in Washington County to cover costs for an advanced robotic-assisted surgery platform. The funds will pay for the surgical system itself ($2.5 million), one year of service support ($195,000), facility upgrades ($275,000), surgical instruments ($175,000), staff training ($120,000), and IT integration ($80,000). This funding directly supports Delta Health System's ability to acquire, install, and operate the platform for multi-specialty surgical care. The appropriation applies to fiscal year 2027, beginning July 1, 2026.
