Desoto County; authorize sheriff to use radar on county roads.

SB 3271 would authorize DeSoto County, Mississippi, to purchase radar speed detection equipment for the sheriff's department to enforce speed limits on county roads and state highways outside incorporated city boundaries. It requires that fines collected from speeding violations detected using this radar must fund school resource officers in DeSoto County public schools. The bill, classified as a local procedural measure, died in committee in April 2025 and was never enacted into law.
