Kratom; add to Schedule III of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.

Changed the act's purpose from adding 'kratom' to adding 'any chemically synthesized compound, mixture, or preparation of kratom' to Schedule III, broadening the definition to include synthetic versions.

Added new subsection (j) to Schedule III that specifically includes any chemically synthesized compound containing mitragynine (commonly known as kratom) in excess of 1% of the total alkaloid composition.

Added new subsection (g) to Schedule III that includes buprenorphine or its salts as a controlled substance.

Added new subsection (h) to Schedule III that includes synthetic dronabinol in sesame oil encapsulated in FDA-approved soft gelatin capsules.

Added new subsection (i) to Schedule III that includes Tianeptine or its salts, isomers, and derivatives as a controlled substance.

Section 2 contains a contradictory timeline provision stating the act takes effect after July 1, 2025, but also states it shall be repealed on June 30, 2025, which would effectively nullify the law.
