Appropriation; City of Jackson for making repairs to the West Bank Interceptor of the city's sewer system.

HB 1690 would have provided $20 million in state funds to the City of Jackson to cover repairs for the West Bank Interceptor portion of its sewer system during fiscal year 2026 (July 2025-June 2026). The bill directed the State Treasurer to pay the funds upon proper requisitions from city authorities. This appropriation was intended to directly assist Jackson's infrastructure maintenance efforts. The bill was referred to committee but died there on February 26, 2025, and did not become law.
