Dispensing fee requirements establishment on health plan companies and county-based purchasing plans providing prescription drug coverage in the medical assistance program

This bill requires health plan companies and county-based purchasing plans that provide prescription drug coverage through Minnesota's medical assistance program to pay pharmacies a minimum dispensing fee. Specifically, it mandates that these entities pay at least the fee amount specified in Minnesota Statutes section 256B.0625, subdivision 13e, paragraph (a), for dispensing prescribed drugs. The requirement applies to all such plans covering eligible individuals under chapters 256B and 256L. The policy becomes effective January 1, 2026, or upon federal approval, whichever comes later.
