City of Bloomington Old Shakopee Road section capital improvements appropriation and bond issuance authorization

This bill authorizes the state of Minnesota to issue up to $4,480,000 in bonds to fund capital improvements on Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington. The funds will be used to address safety, accessibility, and stormwater management issues on the road between Aldrich Avenue and 2nd Avenue. The money can be used for property acquisition, sidewalk and curb replacement, bike lanes, ADA-compliant improvements, traffic calming measures, utility upgrades, and stormwater infrastructure. The state commissioner of transportation will distribute the funds as grants to the city of Bloomington and Hennepin County.
