Gasoline stickers relating to state tax rates revision

This bill requires gas stations in Minnesota to display updated signs on fuel dispensers showing both the state gasoline tax (now tied to inflation and automatically adjusted annually) and the federal tax rate (18.4 cents per gallon for both gasoline and diesel). The signs must state that state fuel tax revenue is restricted to roads and bridges under the state constitution. It replaces the previous fixed state tax amount (28.5 cents) with an inflation-linked figure that changes each January 1. Retail fuel operators must use these new signs, which will be distributed annually by the state director of weights and measures.
