Minneapolis; Washington Avenue improvements funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

This bill authorizes the issuance of up to $6.5 million in state bonds to fund safety improvements on Washington Avenue in Minneapolis. The funds will be used by Hennepin County to design, engineer, and reconstruct County Road 152 between the I-35W southbound ramps and 3rd Street South. Once approved, the state will sell these bonds and transfer the proceeds to the commissioner of transportation for distribution to the county. The legislation takes effect immediately upon final enactment.
