This bill authorizes the city of Glencoe to collect a local sales tax of up to 0.5% to fund specific park improvements and trail network upgrades. The tax requires voter approval before implementation and would generate revenue for projects including maintenance and upgrades to four parks and enhancements to the city trail system. The city may issue up to $2.725 million in bonds to help finance these projects, with the tax revenue used to pay for bond interest and principal. The tax would automatically expire after 15 years or once the projects are fully funded, whichever comes first, with any remaining funds returned to the city's general fund.
