Carver levee restoration funding provided, and money appropriated.

HF 459 appropriates $3,350,000 from the general fund for the city of Carver to restore its levee, protecting a historic district from Minnesota River flooding. The funds cover predesign, engineering, construction (including raising the levee height and adding internal drainage), land acquisition, and FEMA certification. This one-time appropriation is in addition to prior 2023 funding for the same project. The city must complete the work within the funding timeframe while meeting federal flood protection standards.
