This bill authorizes the state to fund an expansion of the Medina water treatment plant to address high levels of manganese in the city's water supply. It appropriates $2,950,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Medina to design, construct, furnish, and equip the expansion. The bill also directs the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to $2,950,000 to provide the necessary funding for this project. The legislation takes effect the day after final enactment.
