Omnibus Jobs and Economic Development policy bill

This bill creates a one-time $2 million fund to help rideshare drivers buy personal vehicles. The money will be used to provide zero-interest loans of up to $15,000 to drivers who have worked for at least a year and earn less than $80,000 annually. Nonprofit organizations will manage these loans, which must be repaid over a period of six months to five years. The program is designed to assist drivers in meeting insurance and registration requirements while keeping loan terms flexible.
