School aid: other; future educator student teacher stipend program; modify. Amends sec. 27c of 1979 PA 94 (MCL 388.1627c).

Allocates $30,000,000 from the state school aid fund and $20,000,000 from the educator fellowship public provider fund for 2024-2025 to support student teacher stipends.

Sets payment amounts at not to exceed $9,600.00 per academic semester for eligible student teachers.

Establishes priority funding for Pell grant recipients when funding is insufficient to fully fund all eligible student teachers.

Establishes eligibility requirements for student teachers including admission to an educator preparation program, working toward teacher certification, satisfactory academic progress, and completion of required student teaching coursework with real-world classroom experience.

Adds an exclusion for individuals already employed as teachers of record in their placement district or preschool program.

Creates an exception allowing current City Year corps members enrolled in eligible educator preparation programs to receive payment under this section.

Requires that funds received by eligible educator preparation programs be paid in entirety to the eligible student teacher.

Defines 'eligible educator preparation program' as public or private institutions with approved educator preparation programs that meet tuition restraint requirements, and defines 'qualifying publicly funded preschool program' as programs supported by public funds including Great Start Readiness and Head Start.

Corrects formatting and numbering inconsistencies in the original bill text, including renumbering subsections and fixing typographical errors.
