Liquor: licenses; eligibility for Class A hotel license or Class B hotel license; modify. Amends sec. 107 of 1998 PA 58 (MCL 436.1107).

Class A and Class B hotel definitions were updated to require 25 or more bedrooms instead of 20, and the population-based thresholds were simplified by removing the separate provisions for special districts.

Class C license definition was simplified by removing the requirement to sell spirits and changing the consumption location from 'on the premises' to 'on the premises' without additional restrictions.

New definition for 'License' was added to clarify it as a contract between the commission and licensee granting authority to manufacture, sell, or warehouse alcoholic liquor.

Financial records definition was expanded to include additional items such as earnings, revenue, expenditures, income, investments, losses, liabilities, payroll, profits, retained earnings, and taxes.

Church definition was modified to remove the requirement that the structure be tax-exempt and to simplify the language regarding religious services and clergy association.

Class G-1 and Class G-2 license definitions were renumbered and slightly modified, with Class G-2 now including spirits in addition to beer, wine, and mixed spirit drink.
