Traffic control: driver license; reference to driver responsibility fees; remove. Amends sec. 4 of 2008 PA 23 (MCL 28.304). TIE BAR WITH: SB 0706'24

This bill amends Michigan's Enhanced Driver License Act to remove references to driver responsibility fees from the list of penalties that can lead to license suspension. It clarifies that holders of enhanced licenses remain subject to all standard licensing sanctions, including fines and point assessments, but explicitly excludes the driver responsibility fee. The legislation also ensures that individuals enrolled in the address confidentiality program receive enhanced licenses with their designated address displayed instead of their home address. Finally, the bill includes a provision stating that it will only take effect if a companion bill, SB 0706, is also enacted into law.
