School aid: supplemental; fiscal year 2024-2025 supplemental appropriations for K-12 school aid; provide for. Amends secs. 11 & 31aa of 1979 PA 94 (MCL 388.1611 & 388.1631aa).

This bill provides supplemental funding for Michigan's public schools for the 2024-2025 fiscal year to address student mental health and safety. It allocates money from various state funds to districts, intermediate districts, nonpublic schools, and specialized schools that choose to participate. The funds can be used for hiring mental health staff, purchasing safety equipment like cameras and door locks, implementing behavioral health technology, and providing training for staff and students on threat assessment and response. Any unspent general fund allocations at the end of the year will be moved to a stabilization fund for future use.
