HD 6211 Massachusetts House · 194th Legislature (2025-2026)

An Act authorizing the town of Wayland to grant additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises

This bill authorizes the town of Wayland to issue ten new licenses for businesses to sell alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption. It allows these licenses to be transferred only within the same location and requires proof of good standing with state tax and unemployment departments before a new applicant can take over an existing spot. Additionally, if a license is cancelled or no longer used, the town can reissue it to a different business at the same address under the same rules. The law takes effect immediately upon passing.
